FAQ

Common questions

What must an Australian tax invoice include?

If you are registered for GST: the words “Tax invoice”, your business name and ABN, the date, a description of what you sold, the GST amount (or a note that the total includes GST), and for sales of $1,000 or more, the buyer’s name or ABN. Choose “GST 10%” and the tool adds the “Tax invoice” title.

I’m not registered for GST. What do I use?

Choose “No tax”. The title changes to “Invoice” and no GST is added. You still need your ABN on invoices in Australia, or the client may have to withhold tax from the payment.

How do I save the invoice as a PDF?

Tap “Download PDF”. Your browser’s print window opens; pick “Save as PDF” (or “Microsoft Print to PDF”) as the printer. On iPhone, use the share button in the print window and choose “Save to Files”.

Is my data saved or sent anywhere?

No. Everything stays in your browser. Your business details are saved only on this device, so the next invoice is faster. Use “Clear all” to remove them.
