FAQ

Common questions

What is schema markup?

It is a small block of code (JSON-LD) that tells search engines facts about your page: your business name, address, opening hours, FAQs or product prices. Google uses it to understand your site and can show extra details in results.

Where do I put the code?

Paste it anywhere in the page’s HTML, usually just before </head>. On WordPress you can use a header-code plugin or your SEO plugin’s custom schema option.

Will this give me star ratings in Google?

Only for real reviews shown on the page, and only for some page types. Google does not show stars for reviews a business writes about itself. Never add made-up ratings.

Which business type should I choose?

Pick the closest specific type, like Plumber or Dentist. If nothing fits, use Local business. Specific types help Google understand what you do.
